Hardworking and Committed

I’m a HUGE Formula One Fan, in fact I can’t wait to be in the stands watching the action at Albert Park this March. The tickets are booked and we are ready to roll.

I think like a lot of people I became more interested in the sport when they began interviewing the drivers and we started to understand more about what makes them tick as individuals. Then add to that the ‘Drive to Survive’ series on Netflix (launched in March 2019) which not only gave us all unprecedented access to the drivers and the teams, but also to the whole industry that surrounds it.

It’s a glamourous sport, not just because of the money that it takes to make it happen, but I think we are fascinated by it because it’s full of people from difference countries and cultures. It takes us all around the world to beautiful places and the rich and famous pop in to watch the race and socialise with the teams.

The bottom line is it’s an exciting sport, it’s elite and plays into that famous line from Tom Cruise, AKA Maverick in the original Top Gun, “I feel the need, the need for speed’.

Both Sir Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff have celebrated their birthdays in the past week or so, Lewis on the 7th and Toto on the 12th. This means that they are both Capricorns, known in the astrological realms as the hardworking, committed and loyal sign.

As you will see in any photo of them together, they both have laser focus on what they are doing and are willing to put in the work to achieve the results that they are seeking. I was checking out Phyllis Vega’s book, ‘What Your Birthday Reveals About You’, to see what her take is on these two striking individuals and I am very interested by what I found, here’s some info about Lewis.

Lewis, born 07/01/1985 (his numbers ‘Insightful Cipher’ is 1/7/5/4) - she said that ‘people born on this day are sociable and friendly enough to garner people’s respect and admiration without sacrificing their own privacy.’ From my perspective I know that privacy is something that Lewis values highly and somehow he manages to protect it, even though he is so well known. As someone with a 7 in his numbers he is learning ‘to be alone but not lonely’. I’m sure you can be with Lewis in a room and he’ll be there, but not there - he’ll be in his head listening to his mind chatter - something that most 7’s manage. Interestingly he has chosen so far not to marry, or to start a family - I think those will be things he does once he feels he has truly achieved what he came to Formula One to achieve. I’d love to see him win the 2024 season and get that all important eighth season win which would truly cement him as the GOAT of F1 so far.

Phyllis also writes, ‘you have a sensitivity and apparent vulnerability that endears you to others and a highly spiritual nature that resonates with the suffering and injustices in the world.’ He has always been willing to stand up for what he believes in - he is a fierce advocate for global equality and has become a prominent voice in support of combatting racism and pushing for increased diversity in motorsport and beyond.

There is so much I could share about Lewis - so if you’d like me to share more or to share insights about Toto, please reach out to me and let me know at: info@insightfulintelligence.com.au
