I absolutely LOVE working with Athletes! They are SO focused on their goals and willing to do what it takes to get where they are going. It’s inspiring.
They have a mission that they are in the process of executing and everyday is invested in pursuit of that end game.
I feel very honoured to be Coaching the legendary Dylan Young right now. He is the current runner up in the highly competitive 2019/2020 MRF Challenge Formula 3 Championship where he secured 2nd place in the Drivers Standings. As the only Australian in the field he stormed home with 3 wins and 9 podiums across the 15 race international season.
Here’s a bit of an overview of his career so far…
Dylan has relished in the challenge of going up against the world’s best. He was team mates with Michael Schumacher’s son Mick whilst competing against the likes of Harrison Newey, son of Red Bull F1 designer Adrian Newey and current Formula 1 drivers Daniil Kvyat and Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz Jr.
After a brief stint in karts, Dylan’s career progressed globally through the Formula BMW Pacific Championship, following in the exact footsteps of current Australian F1 star Daniel Ricciardo. His career then continued to flourish with races alongside multiple Formula 1 Grand Prix’s in the support categories under the watchful eyes of F1 team bosses.
Dylan personifies the Aussie battler. He possesses enormous hunger and drive, enduring an emotional journey fighting the financial hurdles as one of the rare drivers without family funding to assist his career. However, Dylan’s relentless pursuit has seen him become one of Australia’s most marketable drivers. He has successfully built a team of investors and Australian brands who together are sharing in his journey.
Dylan is now a man in demand with race teams from across the world chasing his services. He’s currently racing in Europe and is doing very well - his success on foreign soil could also see him become a household name in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship and newly founded Australian S5000 category. Dylan’s dream is to have a long & successful career either overseas or at home.
Why do I enjoy working with Dylan?
Dylan is a bright, innovative, caring individual with strong leadership skills. He is consistently in action which means he is able to bring the resources together that he needs to ensure he can keep moving ahead with his chosen career. He also works hard everyday to ensure he is the best possible shape both physically and mentally to deliver on track.
Driving at extreme high speed is something that most of us will never attempt (for good reason) and yet for people like Dylan it’s as though it’s a part of his DNA. In Le Mans at the weekend he achieved P3, P2 and P2 - which are truly FANTASTIC results!
